No-one knows (for certain) what causes El Nino to happen anyway. OK, they know what actually happens but not why or when for anything other than a short time ahead. So it's a bit hard to blame global warming whether we cause that or not.

The planet has gotten considerably warmer over the last few decades. Certainly not all of it can be blamed on human carelessness or even human design, but we're not exactly helping the long term carbon cycle with our emisions of lead and CO2 into the atmosphere. And our exploration of the planet often has a harmful effect of certain ecosystems which we damage simply by walking in a place where we needn't be.

Honestly, I wish it would keep getting warmer...I HATE the cold and it's darn cold here in NJ!

Weather patterns are cyclical. Scientists and meteorologists have "known" this for years. Since weather records (regular, daily) only date 0ne-hundred years or so, it is difficult, due to a lack of comparative data, for the forecasters to truly explain all that is occurring. This is a NATURAL phase of weather patterns that we are experiencing!
Yes, Humankind HAS been remiss in the handling of environmental concerns. Yes, We as a whole have contributed to the "state of the World". But...WE are not to blame for El Nino nor La Nina.
Oh, and A BIG P.S.! The Polar Bear population is FINE! Do not believe everything that comes through the news!
