Which "Royal" whose husband's name had a seasonal flavour, wrote a poem that was published circa 1880 and had an obvious link with the composer Richard Rodgers?

Elisabeth of Wied was the Queen Consort of King Carol I of Romania, widely known by her literary name of Carmen Sylva. The only link I can find to Rodgers is a stretch, Carmen Jones was Hammerstein' last musical before the two linked up.

Excellent, one of her first poems was "Hammerstein", hence the link to Richard Rodgers. Thank you.

Who was the Italian composer (1880-1968), critic and professor who stayed away from the opera and lyric Italian composers' tradition and wrote symphonic and chamber works that were rather obscure and are now almost forgotten? Young Menuhin recorded his violin sonata.

It seems that this Hungarian composer wrote two violin concertos, but only the first has been published, and it's one of the most beautiful, romantic concertos of the 19th century. Milstein's recording is already legendary. Who was this guy?
