    Which "Royal" whose husband's name had a seasonal flavour, wrote a poem that was published circa 1880 and had an obvious link with the composer Richard Rodgers?

    Elisabeth of Wied was the Queen Consort of King Carol I of Romania, widely known by her literary name of Carmen Sylva. The only link I can find to Rodgers is a stretch, Carmen Jones was Hammerstein' last musical before the two linked up.
