    The programme originated in the United Kingdom, where it is hosted by Chris Tarrant.
    Regis Philbin and Meredith Vieira have hosted the American version.

    As of 2003, the show was licensed in over 70 countries/regions. Each show had (has) a different host...so, take your pick.

    The answer isn't the name of one of the hosts of the show. Brutus0623 is correct. The answer is Alex Trebek.
