A new Doncaster football stadium has attracted thousands of visitors.
The Keepmoat Stadium is to be the new home ground for the Doncaster Rovers and the Doncaster Belles in addition to rugby league team the Doncaster Lakers.
Costs for the Keepmoat Stadium were initially planned at £20 million for a 10,000 capacity stadium, however, following changes to the development plan, the ground cost £32 million and has a capacity to hold 15,000 spectators .
"The delivery of the all new sports complex is a massive achievement for the people of Doncaster, so please take this opportunity to be part of celebrations that will go down in Doncaster's history," mayor Martin Winter told the Doncaster Free Press.
The all-seater stadium incorporates an 800 square meter supporters' bar, a 250-seat restaurant, a gymnasium and a martial arts centre.
It is part of the Lakeside sports complex which boasts two full size floodlit grass football pitches, eight all-weather five-aside pitches and two all-weather seven-aside football fields.
