    Specifically, how was former President Gerald R. Ford buried in Grand Rapids, Michigan? Underground or tombed?

    		I can't be certain, but I've read several sites on this, and it appears that Ford's coffin was lowered into the ground on a hill near the Ford Library. However, a tomb may well be built above the grave:
