How do I turn a latitude and longitude into minutes and seconds?

I'm not quite sure what you are trying to do, but a degree of either latitude or longitude contains 60 minutes, and each minute contains 60 seconds. So to convert degrees to minutes, you just multiply by 60, and then again if you want it in seconds. The figures get so big that it's usually far easier to leave it in degrees. Most locations are given as degrees/minutes(/seconds) depending on the accuracy wanted. Converting to decimal degrees is fun, and converting back even more so... Here's a site that explains most of this (and has a built in calculator for decimal degrees too) http://id.mind.net/~zona/mmts/trigonometryRealms/degMinSec/degMinSec.htm
Looks good for other Maths work too if you go to Home.
