Just a note about this "mall site".....

Mall of America....Largest shopping mall in the United States (by total area); includes a theme park, entertainment district on the 4th floor, and aquarium. Official site. 2.5-million Square feet

But on the same list quite a few click above......

King of Prussia Mall, KofP, Pennsylvania....2,800,000

How can mall of america be the biggest when the KofP mall is clearly larger?

"How can mall of america be the biggest when the KofP mall is clearly larger?"

Looking at that site, they're going by total area (4.2 million for Mall of America). King of Prussia is bigger in Gross Leasable Area, but (presumably, as nothing is listed for it in that column) not in total area.
