Of all the possible combinations of labels used when ordering a Starbucks' coffee, which one uses the most words?

    Question #75456. Asked by star_gazer. (Feb 05 07 8:38 AM)

How many words can go in the "Custom" box? Lots of times there is more than one label in that box when ordering. Or just one entry per box.

*-Boxes meaning drink label on side of cup.

I looking for the single drink order with the most words pronounced when ordering.

No foam decaf lattee etc. etc.

"Bill Maher has asserted in his newest book that the length of ones Starbucks drink name is directly proportional to how big an a-hole one is."

    Possible contender:

"Venti, decaf, two pump Carmel frappachino, two pumps mocha, add java chips, carmel drizzel on the bottom of the cup, double blended, decaf caramel affagato add shot, with whip, with carmel and mocha drizzle on top..."

It wasn't a Starbucks (it was a Costa) but the girl at the counter got very upset when I went in and asked for a coffee. Apparently you don't do that in these places. I got given what seemed to be called an Americano in the end after quite a lot of argument.

This just in from my daughter who has a part-time job at Starbucks:

"Bill Maher doesn't have it right....he didn't call the drink in the right order...

"Single Affagato Decaf Venti 2 pump caramel, 2 pump mocha, add java chips, double blended, caramel drizzle in the cup (or you could merely say "upside down" to indicate caramel in the cup), with whip and caramel and mocha drizzle, Caramel Frappachino"

She gave me a coupon for any drink in the store...I ordered an Americano...this back in December, she insisted on that oxymoron, Pumpkin Pie Spice Coffee!! I confess it was good. She says many customers there in Anchorage, AK, just buy plain old brewed coffee.

P.S. to Baloo--at Starbucks the employees do get points for selling the days' promotional special. If you want to help a starving student, buy it! Of course they should sweetly serve the customer whatever he wants.

The Bill Maher quote was separate from the order...he had nothing to do with the order which followed his quote.

None of this is REAL coffee. It is confection. Two types of coffee exist. Robusta and Arabica. The Japanese have created a new type. Can not comment on this. Coffee is either "regular" or "decaf".

Coke? Diet Coke? Vanilla Coke? Cherry Coke? Original Formula Coke? New Coke? Chocolate Coke? All COLAS. Same goes for coffee. Add a squirt of this. Leave out that. Rubbish!

Ah, zbeck, so it is! I had read that on the "recent replies" list where everything's all scrunched up and didn't realize you had them separate.

What-a-Mess, I share your sentiments, (I just wanted Americano, remember?) but to best answer the question we have to include all the gimcrackery.
