The whale called "Monstro" from the Disney film Pinocchio was called something else in the original story. Who wrote the original story and what was the creature called?

    Question #75492. Asked by skysmom65. (Feb 05 07 10:02 PM)

    ainenei

"The Adventures of Pinocchio" was written by Carlo Collodi, and the book I have doesn't mention a whale at all, instead it is a great shark.

Correct ainenei! In the original story by Italian author Carlo Collodi, the creature is referred to as the Terrible Shark (a vast creature, 5 storeys tall and a mile long)
