    		Today a very small amount of Anglican convert priests who were already married are allowed to continue to be so.

    		The English clergy were celibate by the time of the wars between Stephen and Matilda, but there were still married clergy in Wales. (Unlikely source for here: The Summer of the Danes, by Ellis Peters. Fiction, but with an uncannily accurate historical background.)
