Captured artistically by a famous painter, this mayor (who changed his name to co-incide with a certain flower), eventually became a judicial officer. Although his commencement point of the 'procedure' in the painting seems unorthodox, he continued with fame and success and today a body part is named for him. Who is it, who was the painter and the painting, and what is the body part?

Certainly is, and what more of a macabre take on the International Flower-Giving Day could I possibly render? ;) Actually, that 'Book of Monsters' might in fact be a good read----I might find out a convenient way to vent my spleen.
A Golden Tulip for you, m'dear.

Well, that's one flower question I managed to answer. Wendy's discarded-dairy-product-plus-flower has me pulling my hair out.

I was wondering about that Emil guy who decided to play around with yoghurt and flowers...

I have to say that my flower is not one you would pick and put in a vase but it is widely used as an ingredient in the beverage industry. To be honest, I didn't even realise it was a flower until I posted the question.
