This television series was once sponsored by a cigarette company until the female lead character fell pregnant. It is also credited as the first series of its genre to approach the issue of infertility. Which show was it and which company took over the sponsorship?

    The Flintstones.
In the 1960s the series had strong ties to a sponsor, Winston cigarettes. In one memorable advertisement, Fred and Barney relaxed while their wives did housework, smoking Winstons and reciting Winston's popular and famous jingle "Winston tastes good like a cigarette should!" In 1963, Winston pulled their sponsorship from the show when Wilma became pregnant; after that point, the main sponsor was Welch's Grape Juice.

Yep, certainly was, and in the ceremonious adoption of Bamm Bamm they dealt with the infertility of Barney and Betty.
