Was the question meant to say 6 times?

Scorsese has been nominated six times for an Oscar for Best Director, but has yet to win one. This places him in the company of such directors as Alfred Hitchcock (5 nominations), Robert Altman (5), Stanley Kubrick (4), Federico Fellini (4), Ingmar Bergman (3), David Lynch (3), George Lucas (2), Orson Welles (1) and Sergio Leone (0), none of whom have won a competitive Oscar for directing,

Walt Disney WON 26 times, if that's what you meant.

Walt Disney holds the record for having the most Academy Awards: 22 won, and 4 honorary. He was also nominated for 64 Academy Awards during his lifetime

A couple of sites state that songwriter Sammy Cahn was nominated 26 times. One claims over 30 nominations, and the one below says 23. Take your pick.

We have to remember that many behind-the-scenes talents, such as Foley artists and the like, have been repeatedly nominated, far more often than actors and directors.
