    		That year, University of Toronto alumna Augusta Stowe Gullen became the first woman to graduate from medical school in Canada. 1883

    		Elizabeth Blackwell graduated in 1849 from medical school prior to Augusta Stowe Gullen, so 1883 would be incorrect.

    		In the U.S., Oberlin College, this country's first coeducational college, founded in 1833, graduated three women in 1841.

    A few sites also state that Catherine E. Brewer was the first of 11 students to be presented her diploma from Wesleyan Female College in 1840.
