For much of Margaret Thatcher's premiership the following were alive:
Harold Macmillan (PM 1957-63 - died 1986)
Alec Douglas-Home (PM 1963-64 - died 1995)
Harold Wilson (PM 1964-70 and 1974-76 - died 1995)
Edward Heath (PM 1970-74 - died 2005)
James Callaghan (PM 1976-79 - died 2005)
So, for the period 1979-86 that gives five former PMs.
I worked this out from information available on the Number 10 website. Eden died in 1977 and didn't quite make it into this period.
