    What is the Indo-European root where the terms sky and god originated?

    Here, I found god to mean
    1. the lap
    2. embrace
    3. adoption

    which does make sense.

    And sky to mean
    1. the thirtyfirst cerebral consonant of the devanagari alphabet

    Which, I'm sorry to say does not make sense.

    I found this in the Hindi language translated to English for a specific definition. As an amateur etymologist, one can only assume it is a Hindi term.
