In the History of Art, there have been more than a few father-daughter artists -- Prospero and Lavinia Fontana, Orazio and Artemisia Gentileschi to name just two. But what father and daughter were responsible for illustrating, separately, the works of three very important children's book authors in the early 20th century, and what were the books?

Ernest Shepard, who was born in the shadow of Lords Cricket ground in London was the illustrator of Winnie the Pooh and Wind in the Willows. His daughter Mary illustrated Mary Poppins.

Excellent, swbhoy! A silver mace to you!
I don't think there can be any doubt that the work of the Shepards is known to -- and loved by -- more people than the paintings of those other father-daughter teams.
