    What did Samuel Pepys posit as his favorite meal?

    		I suggest that you contact Claire Tomalin, author of the award-winning biography "Samuel Pepys: The Unequalled Self" (2002) and ask her. She is the modern scholar who knows Pepys best, but checking her index entries under "eating habits," I didn't find anything about a "favorite meal."

    Though Pepys did write, with great enthusiasm, about many meals he ate.
