What Hindi-word for "great queen" illustrates that the language is related to Greek (mega) and to Latin (mag-na regina)?

Since 'Maharaja' would be 'great king', the term 'Maharani' would be the female equivalent for a woman ruling in her own right.

Quite right. Rajah is related to the root of Latin rex (reg-ere), and rani can be found back in Spanish reina, French reine .
There is also the "great holy man" or maharishi. And there is even the English "mickle" that derives from the same root "meg-" as 'maha', 'mega', and 'mag-nus'.
