In 1986, Guantánamo became host to Cuba's first and only McDonald's restaurant, as well as a Subway.[13] These fast food restaurants are on base, and not accessible to Cubans. It has been reported that detainees showing good behavior have been rewarded not only with dates, pita bread and even Twinkies, but also 'Happy Meals', hamburgers or Filet-O-Fish sandwiches from the McDonald's located near the Navy Exchange.

That is proof that the conditions at Gitmo are deplorable! McDonalds for "good behavior"? It should be the punishment for insubordination!

But with the Happy Meals you get a toy that ensures hours of entertainment. I guess the very good prisoners have amassed a full collection of the toys.

For children 3 and older. (Alternate toy available on request). :-)

And what might that "alternate toy" be, in the circumstances?
The mind boggles.
