# In a day there are 24 hours. Does anybody know how many hours are in a year?

24 Hours in a day, multiplied by 365 days for each year.

8760 Hours in a year. During the leap year it's 8784 Hours.

Or, if you're nitpicky it's also really 365 and 1/4 days to account for the leap year, so 8766 is also an acceptable answer.

Mind you now....This is based upon the assumption of 24 Hours per day. When actually there is 23 Hours 56 Minutes and some Seconds in a mathematical day.
