According to this, it must be called 'Big Buddy':

    Big Buddy
What you are calling "Bub Daddies" was called "Big Buddy" where I lived - foot-long bubble gum sticks (as I recall they even had a ruler printed on the package). My jaw aches at the memory.

    Big Buddy
Big Buddy Bubble gum, Oh boy was this a treat. It was about a foot long and came in flavors like green apple and grape.

    Big Buddy
it was a footlong block of bubble gum in flavors like cherry and grape. there was a ruler on the package. from the 70s.

    Big Buddy & Big Wad
Both strictly for the bubble gum afficianato; Big Buddy ( regular, grape and cherry) was 12 inches long, and Big Wad, undoubtedly the largest single piece of bubble gum ever manufactured...the size of a cigarette pack...a dentists dream.

Big Buddy 'Hawaiian ' or 'Hawaiian Treat'
This was another flavor of the Big Buddy Bubble gum sticks . It was white in color and had a sort of pina colada taste. If you played little league , a big buddy would last a whole game , with a fresh chew every inning !!

Big Buddy Bubble Gum & Crunchios
Big Buddy gum was shaped like a ruler (I think it even had a ruler on it's packaging). Crunchios were like corn chips, but in the shape of rings and came in a container like a fat Pringles container.
