    Did AT&T buy Cingular, or was it the other way around?

    		SBC & Bell South owned Cingular....then Cingular purchased ATT wireless....now....SBC purchased ATT (landline and long distance) and most recently purchased Bell South also...The name is now att in lower case letters....This all being said...Now the new att (OLD SBC) owns 100 % of Cingular and for marketing purposes is changing all branding to att.

    What-A-Mess

    		ATT Wireless Communications was bought by Cingular but the new Cellular company goes by the name of ATT Wireless.
