Has a major European footballing nation (not a ministate like Monaco) ever selected its whole national squad from one of its club sides? If so, which country or countries and when, and if not, what is the greatest number of players selected from one club to play for a national side?

The Italian national squad. The tragic loss in 1949 of the players of Torino F.C. (the winners of the previous four Serie A titles) in the Superga air disaster saw the loss of ten out of the eleven constituting the initial line-up for the national team.

Thanks Breeze,
.
What led me to ask this was the example of the Soviet side in the 1970s.
After a run of bad results, most of the Soviet team were sacked in 1975 and replaced by players from Dynamo Kiev.
The new side did take the Soviets into the European Championship Finals that year.
Incidentally, Dynamo Kiev was also the team involved in the notorious Game of Death against the Nazis in 1942.
