Ron Howard once made a guest appearance on a sitcom that was built around a TV show, but might possibly have been a radio station. The interviewer seemed to feel he was interviewing Opie, not Ron Howard, and asked about Aunt Bee, Andy, etc. They even asked him to sing the song 'Wells Fargo Wagon' with his lisp. He gave up and actually sang the song before the show ended. I can't remember the name of the show, but hope to find it and maybe see that episode again. Can anyone remember this show?

"Years ago on Saturday Night Live I saw a funny skit with Ron Howard and Eddie Murphy. Eddie Murphy played a television journalist and Ron Howard played himself. The premise of the skit was that Eddie would interview this famous filmmaker about the last few movies he had directed, but Eddie kept referring to Ron Howard as Opie Cunningham. All Eddie wanted to talk about was how Ron Howard had played Opie on the Andy Griffith Show and had been the star of the sitcom Happy Days."

Above skit is on this DVD -- Where Eddie Murphy interviews Ron Howard about his new movie, but Murphy can't get over that Ron Howard once played Opie on The Andy Griffiths Show, frustrating Howard.

Thank you to zbeckabee for answering the question I've been trying to answer for many years! I thought for sure it was a sitcom, but could never remember the name. I'm going to get the SNL DVD and finally be able to see this again! Thank you so much!

Could someone please tell me if Clint Howard, brother of Ron Howard, ever made an appearance on 'The Andy Griffith Show'?

After the TV show "Gilligan's Island" ended I remember seeing at least two episodes of a spinoff show that took place in the American West. The "Skipper" was the leader of a wagon train, "Gilligan" was his bumbling sidekick, there was a Maryann-like schoolmarm, a Professor-like intellectual, a wealthy couple, and a dancehall girl. Does anyone remember this series, and who was in it?

What was the name of the television show late 80's early 90's about a disc jockey on late night radio talk show that was kind of a counselor for lonely people, those with problems and the like. I am looking for information on the last episode. His girlfriend had just died and he was walking down a dark alley. What was the song being played and the singer of the bluesy song in the background at the end of the show?
