Lady Godiva, rode through Coventry naked according to the story, to get her husband to ease up on taxing the townspeople. She had many royal descendants, one of the earliest being Hereward the Wake.

Hereward was an outlaw of unknown parentage - and unknown date of birth and death too. He definitely was not royal. The association with Leofric and Godiva is tenuous to say the least. The reference to his father being Leofric names Leofric of Bourne (for whose existence there is no evidence at all) and Edith (similarly untraceable). In all, Hereward is as difficult to pin down as Robin Hood.
In addition, it is rather hard to pin down Leofric and Godiva's kids. Possibly Aelfgar, possibly Edwin and Edith. There are many extremely dubious sites listing various persons as being the descendants of Godiva, without giving any hard and fast evidence for their claims.

I think that should be Mercia, rather than what seems a sloppy version of America.
