this is caused by centrifugal force

Flow of air moving over the grid and blades produces a static charge which attracts the dust

If you're feeling frustrated by this problem, star_gazer, I recommend a feather duster, regularly applied. People with allergies to both dust and feathers can use a synthetic substitute.

Synthetic dust?

Alas, Monkey, so far as I know, there is no synthetic substitute for dust. Only for feathers.
Though that does raise some interesting questions. In an entirely artificial environment, would we need to create synthetic dust for any reason?

Only if one would be inhaling with Synthetic Lungs and a Synthetic nose!

Another way to solve your problem is to get rid of your fan.
