What Bay Area rock group had a number one hit with the song "Don't Stop Believin'"?

Question #79561. Asked by campcook. (Apr 27 07 8:12 AM)

    thejazzkickazz

Methinks it was Journey who issued that song in 1981, but methinks it was never a #1 hit.

    Me thinks thejazzkickazz is correct.

Journey's song "Don't Stop Believin'" debuted on their 1981 album 'Escape' and was an instant hit but peaked at #9.
