What is the name given to a safety device on a train that allows operation only while depressed by the operator?

    Question #79732. Asked by nibbles0011. (May 01 07 1:38 PM)

    Silvertop

This would be the 'dead man's handle'. This control device must be kept under pressure and if released applies the brakes of the train. It safeguards the control of the train if anything was to happen to the driver.
