If you assume that everyone is standing, and takes up 2 square feet, based on a population of 6.7 billion...they would take up 481.06 square miles. The area would expand 10 acres every day.
No link...basic math.

I'm sure I remember the answer would be the Isle of Wight, which is about 12X8 miles. It's often mentioned in those weird fact books and columns.
12X8 is 96 sq miles which is a lot less than the first estimate.
The official answer is here and apparently depends on the tide being out to fit everyone on, but they use metric so I'm not sure which of us is closer till a nice person converts it for me.

1054 square kilometers (your link) is equal to 406.9517 square miles.
Your link uses the world population figure of 6,204,850,174 which is a bit low from the actual population of 6,446,131,400 while mine is too high by about that same amount. If you factor that in along with the difference in space occupied by each person...we are coming up with similar figures.

Thanks alot guys. I just wanted to prove to my friends at school that it was alot smaller than they claimed. Some of them where claiming really absurd stuff like the USA. The smallest area one of them claimed was Ireland. I thought it was still a bit big.
