    Who survived an assassination attempt by a man claiming to be King Richard III in 1835?

    		On January 30th 1835, Richard Lawrence attempted to assassinate Andrew Jackson. He fired two pistols, both of which misfired.
    Lawrence claimed that Jackson had stopped him from becoming King of England, and was declared insane.
