"Teeth falling out is a sign of the next stage of maturity. When we are young we lose all our teeth and we do the same as we age into seniors, so it is a common symbol of moving into the next stage of growth such as "growing pains". It is a sense of loss."

It can mean anything - according to which dream interpretation system you happen to look at. In fact, dreams can be a sort of collage of things said, done, overheard, seen on TV or anything. Your dream may not even be your own dream. Once, I woke suddenly and unnecessarily at 7.30 one morning, just as things were getting interesting in a dream of a blonde girl I knew. That evening, I was at some friends, and their lad complained to me of his dad waking him at 7.30, and described the blonde of his dream to me. Diane was a very distinctive looking girl, and this kid of 15 had never heard of her, nor met her, but described her to me perfectly. (He wouldn't have stood a chance, as she was about 12 years older than him, and lived in another town quite some way away.) But he was dreaming my dream, and I got the wake up as well - a mile and a half away.

I've always interpreted it as fear of ageing or growing old or dying.

Soon you will be sitting helpless in a dentist's chair.
