    How long did the black boycott against the Montgomery, Alabama bus system last?

    		It lasted for 381 days, just over a year. It was started on the 1st of December 1955 when Rosa Parks, an African-American seamstress, refused to give up her seat to a white man on the bus, and after 381 days, proved to be a success.
