Dark matter is still unknown, speculation about its characteristics is just that...

dark is the absence of light image reflections. We actually do not see any particular object. All we see are the reflected lightwaves that have "bounced" off a particular object. Taking this into consideration it becomes more apparent and understandable as to what "dark"
is.
Dark is like cold. The absence of a particular stimulus.
