Do people from Brazil and Portugal consider themselves Latin?

Everyone's favorite reference source, Wikipedia, notes that "Latin peoples and cultures are related, in some way, to the language or culture of the ancient Latin-speaking population of Italy. More exact definitions present difficulties, and as a result no definitive list of Latin cultures can be produced." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Latin_cultures
However, Portugal seems to be almost universally accepted as a Latin culture (see above reference for one example), and Brazil likewise seems almost universally counted as a Latin American culture. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Latin_America
So much for the academic answer -- it would be interesting to hear directly from a Brazilian or Portuguese citizen to get their perspective.

As gdebes1 said, Portuguese do consider themselves Latin. Brazilians may be either indigenous or of Latin decent, so it depends on the individuals heritage as to whether they consider themselves Latin or not.
