What is that oil made up of which we use for a generator?

Depends what generator. Some run on diesel, some on petrol (US gas), some on paraffin/kerosene. (And some on bottled gas.) In places where you can get alcohol fuel (like Brazil) there will be ones that run on that. But mainly, they run on petroleum derivatives (diesel/petrol/paraffin/kerosene). There may be some that are two-stroke, in which case they may have lubricating oil added to the petrol.
