What's the highest price ever charged for tickets to see a concert?

I would say Barbra Streisand is at the top with ticket prices. Tickets for her 2007 tour range from €150 - €900, that converts to £101 - £610 sterling and in US currency $201.62-$1,209.69!

Ticket prices are increasing in order for a promoter to pay:
    The entertainer(s)
    Their road crew
    Insurance
    Food
    Venue and venue concessions
    Lighting
    Generators
Any additional items necessary to fulfill the entertainer's contract.
    The promoter, himself

Seeing the Rolling Stones belt out "Brown Sugar" at the band's November concert in SBC Park could cost you as much as $5,000, the equivalent of a trip around the world or a large-screen television. At least, that's what some ticket brokers are charging for some of the seats closest to the stage.

Trying to calculate "highest price ever charged" is a difficult task.

In terms of up front ticket price (and adjusted for inflation), the Horowitz/Toscanini War Bonds concert of 1943 might be up on the list.

Access to the concert was only available by purchasing war bonds, and the 2804 person hall (http://www.carnegiehall.org/textSite/the_basics/art_hall_rentals.html) sold out for $10,090,145 (http://web.telia.com/~u85420275/concertography.htm), which (using the inflation calculator at http://www.westegg.com/inflation/infl.cgi ), comes out to $43,430 a person in modern dollars.

This may not be a valid comparison, however, as the bonds would have been redeemable at a later date.
