    		Final Update - 29 SEPTEMBER 2004

    The 2004 Paralympic Games have concluded with Australia winning 100 medals overall. The Australian team finished 5th on Gold Medal tally and 2nd on overall medal tally.  This is an excellent performance in a competition that boasted 136 competing nations.
     
    WHEELCHAIR BASKETBALL
    The Australian Rollers were unable to overcome the classy Canadians in the Gold medal match of the Men's Wheelchair Basketball going down 53 - 70.  Although disappointed, the Australian team, including Canberra's Tristan Knowles, can be very proud of their silver medal.
