Well, that doesn't really answer the question.

It describes a segment of the question and does refer to one of the clues involved to answer the question, but a little more oooomph is required, m'dear.

Soldiers who specialized in throwing grenades were the original Grenadiers.

Grenade came from POMEGRANATE (old French = pome grenate) because of the similar size the first hand grenades, and because soldiers thought that the shrapnel resembled the seeds of this fruit.

O.K., I'm going to weigh in now with "pint glass," some types of which are called "tulips". EU regulations require a certain etched symbol:

Well, Frankie is aware of my ability to throw out clues every so often, albeit they are usually as convoluted as the question itself, but this time, I really did throw my aces on the table.

Besides, it's just a matter of disecting the question, answering each segment and then searching for what is really asked, which, Frankie is exceptionally adept at doing.

Another Golden Thingy for you, Frankie.

Captured artistically by a famous painter, this mayor (who changed his name to co-incide with a certain flower), eventually became a judicial officer.
