The most recent date that I managed to find was the 7th of December, 1998... that would be 071298. The nearest in the future I could find is the 24th of May 2013, which would be 240513...
Listen, there is a HECK of a good chance that I'm wrong... this is purely by sitting down and fiddling around, so I'm probably wrong, but there's a list of things that I thought of that may help you...
1.) You can't use the month of November (it has double "1's")
2.) There is no possible way to use any year between 2001 and 2009 (01- 09), as if you were to use any date under the 12th, you would be violating the rule by using a 0. Even if you did manage to find another date, say the 24th, you wouldn't be able to use the month of December, as it would also have a "2" in it, or October, as that already as a "0" in it. So 2001-2009 is out of the question.
3.) You can't use the year of 2000 at all, as that has double "0's"
4.) Likewise, you can't use 1999, as this has double "9's" in it. Thus the most recent possible year you can use is 1998.
5.) The year 2011 is out of the question, as it has double "1's."
6.) The year 2012 can't be used, as you are already using a "1" and a "2" in there, and thus wouldn't be able to find a real date AND month without either of those numbers repeating.
These were the "rules" that I used to come to my conclusion. Again, I'm not sure if they're right, and it may be a heck of a shot in the dark, but I hope it helps.

How about 301298 and 250413

Correct.
Incidentally this particular period between 2 dates meeting this criteria might be the longest it can be.
It actually happens much more frequently than these 2 dates might suggest.
Many years have several months where it occurs 5 or 6 times.
