    Population wise, what is the smallest city in the United States and in the UK?

    In the UK the smallest official city by population is St David's in Wales with under 2000

    However I don't actually know if a city in the USA has a legal definition like the UK as they are appointed by royal charter there.

    There are mining "ghost towns" in the US that have a population of zero.

    When I look up population size of a city in the United States for example, I always get something like this: Population - City 519,145 - Urban 3,499,840 - Metro 5,376,285, yet I look up Sydney, population: 4,336,374 is only one figure which is city plus suburbs, or Moscow 10,509,000 only one figure, city plus suburbs. To get the actual population of a US city as per Wikipedia, which figure do I use to give me city plus suburbs?

    What NHL team represents the city with the smallest population, and does Anchorage, Alaska have a bigger population than this city?
