The oldest person whose age could be authenticated was one Jeanne Calment of Arles, France. She died at the age of 122. Among her claims to fame was that she remembered having sold colored pencils to Vincent van Goch.
Of course, some will claim the title should rightly go to Methuselah, who - according to the book of Genesis - lived to be 969 years old. This cannot be authenticated. Besides, many Mesopotamian legends written before and around the same time have their heros living up to 25,000 years, longer than Methuselah.

She appeared briefly as herself in the film "Vincent & Me" making her both the oldest actress to appear in a film and the oldest screen debutante.
