    On aerosol cans, there is a warning not to leave them in strong sunlight or throw them in a fire. What are the physical reasons for it?

    Cause they can explode

    Expansion of the propellant (most are HIGHLY flammable) which can lead to explosion.

    MOST aerosol explosions do NOT include a resultant Fire or Heat. Just a bit of shrapnel or flying cans!
