    		I don't know if this is the one you were thinking of - it isn't credited with an author.

    		I found the correct author- Louise Darcy
    Unwelcome Guest
    Discouragement cannot come in
    When I have barred the door,
    I know the damage he can do,
    For he was here before.
    I had not learned my lesson then
    And let him pass the gate,
    It took long hours to regain my former calm estate.
    Discourgement shall not invade
    The peace that I have won.
    Now hand in hand with God I walk
    Until each day is done.
