Name the country song that says, "Said goodbye to his momma as he left South Dakota to fight for the Red, White and Blue" and had the year 1965 in it. What was this song about?

This would be '8th of November' by Big & Rich. It is about the Vietnam war, specifically, the 173rd Airborne Brigade.|
On 8 November 1965, the 173rd took part in Operation Hump. They were ambushed by approximately 1,200 Viet Cong, resulting in the deaths of 48 men of the 173rd.
The song was written to accompany 'The 8th of November: A True Story of Pain & Honor', a documentary about Niles Harris, the Deadwood, S. Dak., vet-turned-bartender who gave Big Kenny his trademark top hat.
