The US was never invaded by Nazi Germany, the US declared war on Germany in December of 1941 and defeated them in May of 1945.

I beg your pardon. The USA did NOT defeat Germany. The Allies did. There were a lot more than Americans there, and the Brits had been fighting for a good many years more. The Allies includes the UK, the USA, Australia, NZ, Canada, and many more (especially some in Europe as they got rid of their Fascist or pro-Fascist governments). And there were citizens of Eire too, even though their state was officially neutral.

Ya but if you read the question it says "what was the outcome" well Germany fought the USA and Germany lost to the USA, as well the Canadians, Brits, Australians and the other allied powers.

well the Americans and Brits help lead up to the German defeat by the Canadians.

A few notes to supplement the list that great2beme
has kindly provided.
Before Poland was invaded in September of 1939, first
by Hitler, then 2 weeks later by Stalin, Hitler invaded Czechoslovakia March 15,1939. Slovakia actually declared its independence & alliance with Germany the day before.
April 1940 Hitler invaded Denmark & Norway. Denmark
surrendered the next day, Norway held out for two
months. Norway benefited from much better geography.
Serbia was part of Yugoslavia & was invaded because the army toppled the pro German regent.
Crete was, and is a Greek island, not a separate country. Likewise the Channel Islands are a part of the U.K.
Hitler turned on Stalin & invaded the Soviet Union on June 22nd, 1941, not in 1940.
Although the wikipedia article mentions that Hitler
conquered Estonia, it fails to mention that he also
seized Latvia and Lithuania. All three Baltic countries had fallen to Stalin after the fall of Poland.
Of course there was resistance in virtually every
country. The first popular uprising began in Montenegro, in Yugoslavia, on July 13, 1941. The resistance provided by nations from Poland to Greece to Serbia to France was a great drain on the Germans.
Germany did not fall in 1944. The Normandy invasion
was crucial, as were the other Western invasions in Italy & southern France. But the bulk of the troops,
tanks, and artillery arrayed against Germany were those of the U.S.S.R. Likewise the Red Army suffered the vast majority, millions, of Allied casualties.
Germany fell to western Allies & the S.U.in May 1945.

I never said that the US defeated Germany alone, it was one of the three major Allied powers that defeated Hitler. I apologize for this lack of clarity.

Actually the U.S. did defeat Germany alone. Many people do not know that the axis powers (just Japan and Germany) launched an attack on the Aleutian Islands in Alaska. These Islands are very close to Russia. The Axis launched an attack with kamikaze bomber planes and Japanese troops who were told they were not going to live through the battle because it was a suicide mission. The U.S. held its own and defeated the Axis in a small battle on U.S. soil.
Now the counter argument:
Technically the U.S. didn't adopt Alaska until 1955, when the battle happened in the 40's. Although this is true the U.S. owned the land and it was land of the United States of America.

Actually it was mostly russia that invaded germany in the end.
I dont know what you are taught but it is a fact that Russian troops were in Germany before any Americans Brittish or Others got there. Sorry to ruin your glory.
