I can't be sure, but Alexander Creswell, who works in the tradition of 18th-century classicizing architectural painters, must be getting close with some of his works:

Alexander Creswell's largest painting is "The Roman Forum and the Arch of Septimius Severus," measuring five feet by nine feet.

The largest oil painting I've ever seen was Jan Styka's forty-five by one hundred ninety-five foot "The Crucifixion" in Glendale, CA. I'm not at all sure that the canvas is one piece, though. The presentation, with lighting, music, and narration, was scary for my three-year-old.
