    Well if you read at the end of the most intersting article the Starbucks chain puts the official count at 174. And hats off to Mr. Malkoff a true modern day hero.

    174 locations but only 171 open to the General, non-admission paying, public. The other 3 locations are located in pay per entry venues such as Jacob Javits Center.
