In honor of a very recent death: in a certain, very unsuccessful film made nearly 40 years ago, a now-famous actor appeared in a brief, uncredited role. A dozen years later, in a cult classic in which that actor starred, some footage from the first film was used. What were these two films, who directed the first one, and who is that actor?

After a wild goose chase after the late Ingmar Bergman, I think I've tracked this one down.
Director: Michaelangelo Antonioni (died 30/7/07).
Actor: Harrison Ford.
First Film: Zabriskie Point (1970)
Second film: Blade Runner (1982)

Indeed, supersal, I did sort of expect someone to go on a wild goose chase after Bergman. (A chase after "Wild Strawberries" would have been appropriate, don't you think?)
But, yes, "Zabriskie Point" is what I had in mind. After having been dragged to the films of both Bergman and Antonioni through my childhood and adolescence, I couldn't resist a question about one of them.
You get a silver fake snake. I assume that you'll know why.
