Why do some 'other' countries speak different languages? It's usually a matter of culture and/or tradition. Some countries tend to use the Fahrenheit scale, which is based on human body temperature; some countries use the Celsius/Centigrade scale, which is based on the temperature of water; scientists sometimes use the Kelvin scale, which begins at Absolute Zero, the lowest possible temperature known to man. Here in the U.K., younger people tend to think in Celsius while older folk use Fahrenheit, just like with inches/centimeters and feet/meters. If we all did everything exactly the same, we might as well be one big, very boring country! Who is to say that one way is better than another or the 'normal' way?!
